The Rare Disease Network, in partnership with Calvin University, Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services, and Van Andel Institute, invites you to the 7th Annual Rare Disease Day on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Prince Conference Center on Calvin University’s campus.

This free, full-day event brings together individuals living with rare diseases, caregivers and families, healthcare professionals, researchers, advocates, and students for a day of learning, connection, and shared experience. The 2026 program celebrates the strength and resilience of the rare disease community.

Keynote speakers will highlight the important work of Michigan’s Rare Disease Advisory Council and the progress being made to improve care, awareness, and policy across the state. Attendees will also hear powerful stories from adults living with rare diseases who are finding innovative ways to thrive.

Interactive breakout sessions will explore navigating rare disease in uncertain times, sustaining momentum in research, and discovering career pathways in the rare disease space. Lunch is included, and participants will have time to network and visit information tables hosted by advocacy and service organizations throughout the day.
