High School Programs
MichBio Annual High School Career Day
In conjunction with the MichBio Expo each fall, MichBio devotes one day to a program aimed at informing high school students about various careers in bioscience and the opportunities for jobs right here in Michigan. The program is hosted by a local university and includes a keynote address, break out sessions, laboratory tours and demonstrations and lunch. The 2009 program is being hosted by Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI.

Ecotek is the science arm of the Motor City Model UN Club, a 501(c)(3) organization.
The mission of the science program is to develop young inventors and global scientists. The organization is for students in grades 5 through 12, and it is the only organization of its kind in the state of Michigan. Students work with UN member countries and agencies on wide-ranging projects including biotechnology, biochemistry and bioenergy.
