National Cancer Institute award will fund work for 7 years

Max Wicha, M.D, the founder and director emeritus of the University of Michigan’s Comprehensive Cancer Center, has received a grant of $6.5 million from the National Cancer Institute to continue his research into cancer stem cells, the cells in a tumor that fuel its growth and its spread.
