Presented by The Lurie Nanofabrication Facility
This one-day workshop is designed to introduce researchers to the different technologies used in lab-on-chip systems. Speakers will include U-M faculty and staff members. The workshop is aimed at researchers from academia and industry who are interested in learning about lab-on-chip fabrication. No previous microfabrication experience is required.
The agenda will include lectures on:
- MEMS and microfabrication/micromachining techniques
- Microfluidics and PDMS based fabrication techniques
- Other techniques and their applications to lab-on-chip devices
- LNF capabilities and how to bring a project to the LNF
The workshop will include both classroom lectures and hands-on laboratory activities.
Registration Fees: $200; Reduced rate for academic researchers and students $100.
Include attendance to the lectures and cleanroom lab sessions, lecture/lab notes, breakfast/lunch and credit towards LNF user fees. (50% of the registration fee can be used as a credit towards LNF user fees if the attendee subsequently becomes a user of the LNF)
