Event Description

Prescription medicines cost as much as $2.8 billion to develop, and it can take as many as 17 years to bring a new treatment or cure to market. These medicines not oly save lives, helping patients live longer, with less pain, and with more independence, but they can also significantly reduce – or avoid – spending elsewhere within the health care system. But while these medicines save lives and money, the cost is often misunderstood.
