Madison, WI:  Attorneys, researchers, and business leaders in the biotech industries will unite in Madison, Wis., for an unprecedented cross-discipline event, the inaugural Biotech & the Law Global Conference, May 5-7, 2016, at the Monona Terrace Conference Center.

Conference attendees will have access to exclusive tours, demonstrations, and networking sessions, as well as educational presentations eligible for continuing legal education credits. It is presented by PINNACLE™, a leader in professional development conferences affiliated with the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Registration is now open for Biotech & the Law on the conference website.

Dubbed “Biotech’s Third Coast,” Wisconsin has been a hub of scientific development dating back to the 1890s, and has been the home of multiple Nobel Prize winners for biotech discoveries. Today, Wisconsin supports over 1,600 biotech companies, and Madison is a renowned incubator for government, university, and business partnerships.

“Biotech has traditionally been pretty heavily based on either the west or east coast, but here in the Midwest opportunities are continuing to grow,” notes Dr. Thomas C. Tubon of Madison College, one of the conference presenters. “In the state of Wisconsin, even in the face of the recession, biotech kept growing at a rate of three percent each year.” Biotech & the Law presents a unique opportunity for professional education and connection that takes advantage of the stellar resources of Madison’s academic and business communities, including the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the Morgridge Institute for Discovery, and a host of private and public interests in the health care, agriculture, and environmental science fields.
