Join SBIR/STTR expert, Andrea Johanson, PhD, Principal Consultant with BBCetc, for this introduction to the government's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs which make over $2.4 billion in high-risk, non-dilutive capital available to innovative small companies annually.

Attendees will learn SBIR/STTR program basics, including: program purpose, eligibility, sources of funding and tools for proposal development. The class is designed to provide enough information for attendees to determine if they would like to seriously pursue a grant or contract proposal.

About Andrea Johanson, PhD, Principal Consultant, BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting
Andrea is a BBC Principal Consultant with over 18 years of experience in leading international collaborative research projects. Prior to joining BBC in 2006, she was responsible for developing a portfolio of agricultural biotechnology projects at Michigan State University’s Institute of International Agriculture, and for reporting to federal funding agencies about the program. She holds a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Reading University, in the UK, a Masters in Plant Pathology from Cornell University, and a Master of Arts in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University.
