MichBio committees provide leadership in key areas helping to shape organizational goals and strategies and build a united voice in the biosciences community. We encourage our members to become involved in our committees.

Facilities
A central forum for all facilities-related issues including site evaluation and selection, as well as facility programming, planning, construction and management.  In addition, it will serve to suggest educational programming on those relevant topics

Intellectual Property & Legislation
Works to bring together the IP/legal biosciences communities together through discussion of mutually relevant issues like legal resource needs for biosciences companies.  Also assists in the development of appropriate programming and educational curricula on the topic of IP protection and other legal issues of relevance to business growth and development.

Develops the approaches and means to convey information to the membership regarding MichBio’s slate of products and services, relevant news, program events, etc.

Membership & Services
Develops all policy recommendations related to ensuring that MichBio members received optimal value from their memberships.  Works with MichBio staff to develop membership enrollment campaigns, monitor membership trends and make recommendations to the Board for membership enlistment and retention.  In addition, the body makes recommendations on setting membership dues and categories, identifying potential sponsorship opportunities, defining the association’s membership benefits, services and programs, and the development of the MichBio portfolio of preferred provider contracts.

Programs
Develops meaningful, topical agendas for various MichBio events including but not limited to the Annual Membership Meeting, Annual Expo & Conference, SPROUTS, Legislative Forum, CEO Roundtable, regional Bio networking programs.  In addition to guiding program topics, the committee identifies potential panel participants and program sponsors.
